Assuming from your post that this was "officially" donated, do you happen to know if they had the jump through any hoops to get around the risk of getting done for illegal waste disposal?

I've got a tub of those in the shed, but rarely used these days.
I'm fairly happy that they'll still be good for securing dive line, which is probably the only application I'm likely to use them for in future.
