Peakshill Farm Gate

Recent visitors would have noted that the gate to the Peakshill Farm track was on its last legs. DCA's Conservation Officer spoke to the tenant farmer and offered to fund a replacement gate for him. This site sees a large amount of traffic from cavers and instructed groups, and little gestures like this can be very valuable for maintaining good relationships with the local community.
We'd like to also thank the Peak Instructed Caving Affiliation for contributing to the cost of the new gate too.

And before anyone asks the question... the money from the trespass fee here does not go to the tenant farmer.

Well done DCA. I see the sign on the gate hasn't been amended to make opening it to pass through allowable.
